VIVA

VIVA is an Arts and Crafts retailer based in the beautiful Scottish highland town of Pitlochry in Perthshire. VIVA in Pitlochry is centrally located to meet the needs of the arts and crafts community of rural highland Perthshire including Aberfeldy, Blair Atholl, Ballinluig, Dunkeld and Birnam. With easy access from the A9 VIVA is ideally situated for tourists and day trippers from surrounding towns and villages and from further afield.

We are very easy to find -the shop is a just a few yards off the main shopping street of the town.

Paper Crafting

All your favourite names are here: Do-Crafts popular peeloffs, card blanks, tools, glues and a wide range of papers for card making and scrapbooking; Anitas and Card-io stamps and over 20 ink colours; Create and Craft decoupage, laser cut cards and vellum wraps as well as their comprehensive selection of embossing powders including puffy, flocking and the mouth watering scented varieties. Flowersoft is available too - if you come to the shop have a look at the samples made up.

Painting

Winsor and Newton supplies our paint, brushes, canvases and sketch pads. We have oils, acrylic, Cotman watercolour and artists watercolour as well as the full range of Conte sketching pencils and pastels. Also check out their paper and card available in 30 colours and in either A4 or A1 size, as well as mount board in 20 popular colours. If you don’t see what you need, please ask, as we are happy to order items for local customers. If you need an easel, we have table top and field easels for only £25.00 while stocks last.

We can now cut mounts to your specification, selecting from our Winsor and Newton range of mount board.

For those who like sketching we have Staedtel aquarelle pencils and Derwent Inktense pencils.

Polymer clay

Staedtler provide us with Fimo in blocks or in small kits ideal for children. Check out their website (or Sculpey’s ) for project ideas and instructions.

Pens

We can offer a good selection of pens, from inexpensive fibre tips for children, and Staedtler’s fine liners to luscious gel pens from Sakura. Also available are dipping pens (italic or drawing) and special inks to go with them. Check out our new calligraphy sets which make great presents.

Beads

We have packs of the Bead Café range of glass beads and findings in a range of colours, so you should find something to match that outfit. We also stock inexpensive books showing you how to put simple jewellery items together.

Childrens crafts

Have a look at our colourful range of craft materials and kits ranging from paint by numbers to wooden construction kits.

New Products

We now have wool in stock. We started our range with the ever popular Aran and baby double knitting and a selection of fun fibres for knitting up funky scarves and hats. We have now expanded the range of wool with a stock of Wendy double knitting and Robin Bonny Babe 4 Ply. To complement the wool we have patterns and knitting pins. If you are keen knitter please note we can order in wool to meet your requirements.

With our new DMC spinner, needlewomen will have the full range of DMC thread colours to choose from. We also now have a range of DMC cross stitch kits in stock.

We have also extended the choice for children with Play Mais and products from Alsuna.

For 'children' of all ages we now have the range of Snazaroo face paints. If you have not used face paints before we also now have face painting 'how to' books.

Original Art

We stock a small range of watercolour and oil paintings by local artists, framed and unframed. Check out our Original Art page for the current stock. We also stock a range of prints.

Throughout the year we run classes and workshops.

During June we are running one oil painting class on the 22nd and 23rd June, starting at 1.30 p.m. at a cost of £50.00 with all materials required included. The classes finish at 4.30p.m.
